What the official records establish

The Steam product record identifies a paid Windows release by Dazed Games with single-player and online co-op. Its store description still says one to four players, while the later Patch 1.0.4 announcement raises the lobby limit to eight. We treat the dated patch as the newer multiplayer record and preserve the store wording as a visible source conflict rather than quietly blending the two.

The premise and progression are also explicit in the store record: a boating crash strands the crew, fish and trick shots earn money, and quests plus bosses open new islands. Why eight players does not mean crossplay

Lobby capacity and cross-platform compatibility answer different questions. Patch 1.0.4 changes how many players can join the PC lobby; it does not say that Windows players can connect to a console or Mac build.

The studio FAQ confirms an intention to make console and Mac versions, then says timing is unknown. Until the developer names platforms and a shared-network feature, the accurate crossplay status is unconfirmed—not yes, and not permanently no.

The store confirms boss-gated progression and currently displays 28 achievements, but it does not publish a total island count. The developer sources reviewed here also do not confirm a named Xbox release, cross-platform play, an official browser build, or mod support.
